Attic insulation
A poorly insulated attic is one of the main causes of heat loss in a home. As warm air rises, a significant amount of heating energy is lost through the roof or the loft floor.
With well-planned attic insulation, you can significantly reduce your energy consumption and improve your home’s comfort.
Available only in the North Antwerp region
Benefits of attic insulation

Accessible attics
If the attic is used for storage or needs to remain accessible on a regular basis, we can offer a range of systems:
- Rigid insulation boards (EPS or PIR) on the loft floor
- Rigid insulation boards finished with an OSB floor
- Soft insulation (glass wool flakes) sprayed between the wooden floor joists
- A combination of insulation boards and glass wool flakes, whereby, for example, only a walkway or storage area remains accessible
- Insulating the pitched roof from the inside
Inaccessible attics
For unused attics, blowing glass wool loose-fill insulation onto the attic floor is often the most efficient and cost-effective solution
(e.g. in the corners of pitched roofs)

Insulating a pitched roof
When the loft is converted into a bedroom, study, hobby room or any other heated space within the protected volume of the house, insulating the pitched roof is often the most appropriate solution.
The space between the existing roof structure is completely filled with a soft insulating material (which has acoustic benefits).
A vapour barrier is then carefully installed to ensure it is airtight, in order to prevent condensation problems. If desired, the finish can be completed using plasterboard.
