Flat Roof Insulation
The Pirotherm system is a perfect insulation system for all types of flat roofs: from small renovations to large-scale new construction projects.
The Pirotherm system combines the Pirotherm insulating mortar with EPS sheets to create a highly insulating slope layer for flat roofs, both for new construction and renovation. Any desired U-value (=insulation value) can be realised.
The Pirotherm system replaces three components from the classic roof structure: vapour barrier, sloping concrete and insulation boards, resulting in shorter implementation times and lower cost.
The Pirotherm system is the ideal substrate for any roof waterproofing:
- both bituminous and synthetic
- both loose-fitting, partial adhesion and full-surface adhesion
- both hot-welded and cold glued
Perfect slope
The Pirotherm system is a flexible system in which a perfect multisided slope can be created without any problem, regardless of the flatness of the substrate. The slope prevents annoying and harmful puddles and is the ideal basis for all types of roof ballast layers: gravel, terraces, green roofs, etc., as well as for unloaded roofs.
The secret to this is the different thicknesses of EPS boards embedded in Pirotherm mortar.
Perfect roof insulation
Cold bridges are excluded with the Pirotherm system. The entire system is installed
Also connections to domes, roof edges, upstands,… are perfectly feasible. An optimisation of the system is studied for each project in order to achieve the desired or EPB-regulated insulation value.
Non-combustible roof
Pirotherm has excellent fire behaviour. In the event of a roof fire, only the roof covering with any ballast layer can be damaged; the Pirotherm system protects the underlying building elements.

Quality assurance
Om U te garanderen dat elk plat dak perfect wordt uitgevoerd, wordt het Pirotherm-systeem exclusief door erkende uitvoeringsfirma’s geplaatst. Bovendien is het Pirotherm-systeem ATG-gecertificeerd
