Subsidy and savings
If the cavity wall meets the requirements described in technical specification STS71-1, you can receive a subsidy for a house older than 15 years. This subsidy varies in size according to your income category.
You can apply for it from the government at mijnverbouwpremie.be. Beforehand, you can already have the premium amount calculated via the handy simulator on the website.
Moreover, you save on energy costs. The better the building envelope is insulated, the less energy you consume to heat the building. The average payback period is 3-5 years.
Thermal insulation
